Ireland gets its first gardening blog on the map

By far, the most exciting part of maintaining a blog directory is adding new blogs. And when it comes to gardening blogs the excitement extends further because the gardening blogosphere swells to include new writers.

It becomes even more exciting when you see the map swell (not only in the US) but it extends to areas that haven't been highlighted much before. Today marks the first Irish gardening blog - and hopefully not the last - and puts Ireland fairly on the map. If there are other Irish garden bloggers out there then take few minutes to add your blog.

This group of gardening blogs is sure to fire up a few people's feed readers as you meet some great new gardeners and share tips, stories and a few laughs. So without any further adoo here are the newest entries in the garden blog directory;

Sow it Grows

Dawsonville, Georgia USA
About gardening in the south and my life in general.

Living in a Box

Wantage, Oxfordshire UK
Tiny house, tiny garden - but this year we are making changes, especially in the garden.

Veg Plot

Hereford, Herefordshire UK
Life in a garden in the middle of the UK - very close to the Welsh border

The Garden Corner

Duluth, Minnesota USA
The Garden Corner is a blog written by Jocelyn, a Minnesota girl trying to grow her gardening skills. She will give you updates on all of her gardening experiments and adventures, but also give some good gardening tips.

Robyn's Nesting Place

Noblesville, Indiana US
My garden journal. A place to share my combined interest of gardening and photography.

Drumenagh Brae

Ballyronan, Londonderry IRELAND
Daily musings on life at Drumenagh Brae in Ballyronan village, just outside Magherafelt in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. At Drumenagh we hope to develop a vegetable garden and comfortable country life.

My Little Patch of Green

Start of things to come...

This is the start of things to come.

A blog about blogging - garden blogging, that is.

Rather than send out newsletters, I will endeavour to update this blog from time to time (not as regular as my Gardening Blog) with everything that's being updated.

New Garden Blogs

If you've lost track of all the new blogs that keep turning up on the map and you're looking for some new reading material this is where you will find them. Every time I do an update of the Directory, I will highlight the new blogs and provide links for you to go and welcome them.

Updates and Modifications

There have been a few slight modifications that have happened with the Blog Directory since its inception but there is far more being planned. Some of the new updates will be rolled out within the next few weeks and other bigger ones, soon after.

Subscribe

To keep up with all that's going on it will definitely be worth the effort subscribing. On the right hand-side of this blog there is a RSS Subscription item. Click on it and then choose your feed reader (Bloglines, Google Reader etc) so that when a post has been included here, it will automatically prompt you to find out what the buzz is about.

Comments

Use the comments section to leave your feedback for the directory. Suggestions, feedback, complaints, kudos. It's all welcome provided it aims to move this site forward.

It's great to have you on board and I'm looking forward to seeing where the journey will continue...
