Once Blotanical was released to the public, one of the more immediate tasks to complete was the ability to leave messages when visiting someone's My Plot. Members needed a way to communicate and interact with each other. To leave a 'thank you' or a note to catch up because you found something in common with them.

Adding a message to someone's My Plot couldn't be easier. When you visit their plot, click on the Messages tab and then click Add a message. You can type in a quick word of thanks, encouragement or just say 'hi'.

Another project that is almost finished is the Member Rankings. Each Blotanist accumulates points from certain actions shown in your Profile Info points box. The more actions you perform the better you rank and in time this ranking will offer more opportunities to you. For instance, at the moment each Blotanist can only Fave 24 blogs. In the future, you will be able to increase this number if certain points are earnt.

How do Messages affect your Profile Points?

For each message you leave for another member will add points to your profile. If you leave ridiculous or inane comments then chances are that most members will delete them. Any deletion of a comment results in a deletion in profile points. So it pays to make your Messages worthwhile.

Can you stop members leaving messages for you?

No. However, if a member becomes an irritation you can report them and have them blocked from visiting your My Plot ever again.
