A Blotanical Case Study: Chey
Chey, I hope you don't mind me using you as a case study for how to benefit from Blotanical but what better example is there of what can be achieved in a very short space of time.
If you look down the list of the 100 Newest Blogs you will notice that a week ago (8 April 08), Chey's a maritime gardener was added to the site. A week before that Chey became a Member and then later added her blog.
So, in two weeks this is what Chey has accomplished;
- #46 ranked member - already achieving Patron status.
- Her blog is listed as #100 most Faved blog
- It is also pegging #9 Most Visited blog
- And she's dished off 73 messages to other Blotanists
How did she do this? Well...I noticed Chey when she turned up on the first page of the Most Active Users (she's currently #7 as I write this). A day or two later she had earned enough points to hit the front page and the rest - it appears - is history.
Now, while this is not everyone's cup of tea, and I'm not going to presume that it is, Chey's efforts have highlighted that it is possible to utilise Blotanical as a vehicle for getting some more exposure - and hopefully traffic - for your blog.
Kudos Chey ... and I hope to continue seeing more of you and your blog.
BTW - here's a shout-out to a few others I've noticed that maybe were hidden before: Sylvia - our gun non-blogging Member, Rachel @ inBloom, Cinj and Esther (who's been here only 2 weeks longer than Chey and possibly achieved twice as much - way to go!).

Giggle...might I point out that Chey is also in Nova Scotia? We chilled gardeners have nothing else to keep us sane right now except read blogs and explore Blotanical, because it's too cold to work in the garden...;-)

Congrats Chey! (She sure has been working hard.) Thanks for the shout out. I've only been here a little bit over a month and as Anna says it is a great place to be! I've thanked Anna lots for bringing me into the fold, she's such a sweetie.

That's funny - I was looking at Chey's blog for the first time today (and enjoying the photos!).
Thanks for mentioning ESTHER IN THE GARDEN Stuart.
It's good to be noticed!
