Plurk, Twitter or Blotter?
Many of you are enjoying the benefits of web 2.0 and have grasped hold of sites like Plurk or Twitter. These are great ways to communicate and they offer many benefits for all of us.
So, I've been thinking; one feature that could be offered here is a feed that picks up all Plurks or Twitters or both. It would read much like the Current 200 List in the picks section with the name of the Blotanist and their Plurk/Twitter. All it would take to set up - from a members point of view - is to add your Plurk/Twitter nickname to your profile.
Or, we could start our own micro-blogging service that was just available to Blotanist members.
Opinions? Thoughts? Do you Plurk or Twitter currently? Keen to know your ideas on this possible feature.

I plurk & it is addictive. I don't know how a feed here would work, as I've got my plurk settings on private, in case I say something I don't want made public. So would the feeds link only to those who allow fans?

@ Mr. McGregor's Daughter - that would be one of the considerations for sure. Any thoughts on how you would like to limit it to on the site Blotanical - ie. people that you Faved or people that Faved you or allowing everybody to view it with the ability to block specific users.

I used to twitter but now I plurk more often. I might go back to twitter it's easier for me to keep up with all my stuff. I get so overwhelmed on Plurk sometimes.

I would appreciate having my twitter feed displayed, but like MMD, I keep Plurk private. No sense even setting it up. I use the two services differently.

I agree with Kathy that it doesn't seem like Plurk is amenable to such a service for those who have private plurks.

I think if you go with Plurk and/or Twitter, that would be sufficient. No need to start yet another micro-blogging service for people to keep up with, imho!
