Feed Problems ... update
Just to keep you informed regarding the current feed problems it appears that the situation is isolated to Feedburner feeds only. For no apparent reason these feeds started timing out when trying to retrieve the data and have continued to do so for the past few days.
I have been trialling some work-arounds, discussing with 'experts' and frequenting many forums in order to get some assistance but at the moment, this is to no avail. Many others have been noticing similar problems with their sites that display multiple feeds and some have even discussed issues with their feeds and Google Reader.
The problem that is occurring now and is not too dissimilar to the one we experienced several months ago with Blogger feeds. Interestingly, both applications are owned by Google. Coincidence? The jury is still out on that one.
Needless to say, until I can get some answers and possible ways forward Feedburner feeds won't be showing up on Blotanical for a little while. I would like to think that this might be fixed within a day or two but I am reliant on people answering my questions before I can proceed.
So while this may be extremely frustrating, both for you and for myself, please be assured that I am spending every spare minute trying to source a solution.
PS. Please no more messages on the Help Desk about this. I shall keep you informed along the way.

It's okay. As far as I'm concerned, you could take a spare minute or two to talk to Mrs. Blotanical if you wanted, even. I understand she misses you.

Thanks for keeping us updated, Stuart -- even the Blotanical News headlines on my Plot page isn't updated. I didn't see your original post about the problem, or I wouldn't have bothered sending a note. :) Cheers for your continued dedication to the site!

We know you are working on it, Stuart and do appreciate your efforts. Like Mr. Sub, give Mrs. Blotanical some of your time, maybe flowers? Just kidding of course about the flowers.

Thanks for all your hard work Stuart.
For those of you having problems with load speed, I've found that changing to a different web browser has made things better, albeit not solved the problem entirely. At least I can get something to read within a reasonable time now! I've also said the same thing over at the Forum.

Like Nancy - the news items haven't been appearing on my plot.
A few minutes ago, after recieving your note, Stuart, I checked and they are there now but I have been looking frequently.
Because there was nothing in the news section on my plot - I contacted the Help Desk.
Then, still hearing nothing . . . I stripped my computer back to its factory settings, thinking I must have a virus in there somewhere.
If we contact the Help Desk, an automated reply comes back instantly to say our enquiry has been received.
If there is a problem on site which, like this, affects so many of us, would it be an idea to have an automated message to let us know? Then we wouldn't be going berserk trying to sort things unnecessarily at our ends and you wouldn't be having to read loads of messages from us, all saying the same thing.

P.S. I suppose the good thing about all this (and, perhaps, cheering for you) is that it hightlights how much some of us (possibly many of us) rely on Blotanical to help us keep in touch with each other . . .

Dear Stuart
Thanks for the newsletter and the promise of email updates if / when (!) there are future blips.
You might like to know there is a friendly little note in the margin saying I haven't logged in since July.
Esther Montgomery got one saying she has NEVER logged in AT ALL!

Thank you Stuart, I too sent a message when I probably didn't need to because I did see get the Newsletter updates. It is frustrating but nice to know that I'm not alone :)

Sorry, Stuart, but I sent the Help message before I read this. It is very annoying that Feedburner keeps having these problems. I'm seriously considering switching my feeds to some other service.

Glad to see that it's not just my posts that are not showing up on the lists. I use Blogger and when this happened the last time, I added Feedburner . . I'll be looking to see what I should do next . . . Computer glitches just make me want to go outside and dig in the dirt!

I have no doubt that you are on top of it Stuart and I'm sorry for pestering you on the help desk. I'm a Blogger user and am wondering if there are any alternatives to Feedburner, since I'm hesitant to go there now.
